Professional Background

With a rich and varied life journey, I bring both professional training and deep life experience to my counseling practice. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and spent a few years working in the oil industry. When my growing family called, I stepped away from that career to stay home full-time with my children. In 2023, after a few decades at home, I answered a deeply-felt calling and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Divine Mercy University (graduating in 2025).

My primary therapeutic framework is the Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person (CCMMP), seeing each person as an integrated whole — body, mind, and soul — created with inherent dignity. While I draw from multiple evidence-based modalities (including EMDR, EFT, ACT, CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy), everything is filtered through this holistic lens. I am happy to integrate Christian faith, Scripture, and prayer when desired, while also offering fully secular therapy for those who prefer it.

Family Life

I have been happily married for 36 years and am blessed to be the mother of eight children, ranging in age from 13 to 34. Our family continues to grow as we welcome new spouses and grandchildren. These relationships have deeply shaped my understanding of love, attachment, resilience, forgiveness, and the beauty of ordinary life. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother continues to be one of my greatest joys and teachers.

Spiritual Formation & Ministry Experience

For over 30 years, I have walked alongside individuals and families in various ministry roles. I have spent many years guiding people in developing a Plan of Life, deepening their personal prayer, practicing discernment, and growing in Christian discipleship. I founded and led a marriage ministry for six years, facilitated small groups for both teens and adults, and helped lead a variety of retreats. I also taught a two-year class on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and served in prayer ministry, offering intercessory prayer.

Additionally, I was involved homebound ministry, and in prison ministry, serving both in a county jail and a high-security prison. These diverse experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of the human heart, suffering, redemption, and the healing power of God’s grace.

Above all, my personal relationship with the living God remains the anchor and foundation of my life.

Personal Interests

When I’m not in session, you’ll often find me enjoying the simple pleasures that fill my heart: gardening, crafting, woodworking, and painting with watercolors. I love being outdoors, especially hiking, and I’m an avid board game player who also enjoys curling up with a good book.

Above all, I cherish spending unhurried time with my large family — laughing together, making memories, and celebrating each new chapter. These moments of connection, beauty, and creativity bring me joy and help me stay grounded and present. I am deeply nourished by time in prayer, Adoration, and the sacraments. I believe that true rest and joy are found in living a balanced and intentional life.
